Burda Style For people who sew
Description
For a very long time I wanted make something in this shade of yellow. So when I saw this cotton blend fabric at the store (on sale of course), I did not hesitate. Even the fact that it was actually a home decor fabric did not stop me. My original idea was to make knee-length coat but I ended up making a jacket. I used Butterick B5259 Pattern.
Everything was very easy, it took me 3 or 4 evenings to complete this jacket.
P.S. I ventured into the Anthropologie store a couple of days ago. Amazingly, they had the dress in the similar color with the similar jacquard pattern but in the knit!

I’m not a big fan of this sleeve length, but I love the coat. Great color on you and a nice fabric. The neckline and the rounded corners at the bottom are super cute :)

Thank you! I made sleeves longer at first but I had to shorten them. The fabric was so stiff, they just did not look right.
