Hello. Inspired by your lovely knot bags, I made one for myself the other day – in lime green velvet with a big bow. It’s the nicest bag I’ve ever had THANK YOU! But, I wasn’t happy with the way the long handle slipped too far through the loop when the bag had anything more than a comb and a key in it. (Maybe just a problem with my drafting, but it was annoying) So I added a knot button (like this http://www.karensvariety.com/ARTICLES/ButtonKnots/ButtonKnots.htm) made out of a left over strip of the lime green fabric, & attached it between the straps of the handle. It stops the bag folding over on itself too much, and looks OK, too. Thanks again for providing the inspiration!

For some reason the link doesn’t show any button:( I had the same problem with the handles of the purse and to fix it I put the short loop not exactly vertically to the opening but a little bit towards the center of the purse, if you try it you’ll understead what I mean. I didn’t fix exactly the problem but it was much better! The button is a great idea too, and I would love very much to see your purse, it would be very helpful!

Hi Liliv – I posted some pictures – come over and take a look! The link works (for me anyway) if you cut and paste the whole thing into the browser. It doesn’t work if you just click.

Wonderful accessory, I’m sure it gives proper zest to the outfit and the colour makes it more universal to match the other things. I wish I made at least one bag.

No pattern Mary, it is just a U-shaped piece of fabric. It is more clear at the last picture.
