Just over a week before Christmas i asked mum what would she like as a gift for Christmas, she replied that she would like something hand made- and there began my very quick decision to make her a dress!
Based on 12/2011 Long sleeve maxi dress #120, i decided to remove the sleeves and turn into a cocktail length. I used crepe knit jersey, which meant no lining was required, but i introduced bias binding around the neck and arms.
Unknown to mum, i ‘borrowed’ one of her dresses, so the fit ended up pretty good!
Christmas day came and she was surprised and liked her gift, which made the late nights completing the dress all worthwhile!!
