Summer summer summer and Kerrville Folk festival mean comfy comfy clothes. When I found Muku I loved all of their simple kids clothes, and after also marveling after overalls for a bit, I decided to make some of Muku’s.
Ive also been getting into embellishing. This is mostly bleaching, dying, and embroidery. Ive always wanted to do Shibori so on this I practiced Kumo, wrapping the fabric over found objects. I used 180 found objects, mostly rocks from the end of my driveway, but also some shells found in the cupboard.
The dye was just Rit wet dye in Navy, but I guess my lack of sufficient shaking of the bottle led it to be purple. The color makes them a little more ridiculous than they are anyway, but Ill still be wearing them until it bothers me. Which may very well be soon xD
If made of wool or something, this could be good fall wear, seeing as it was supposed to be fall in the first place. Just wear a long sleeve top under it, and perhaps dye it a better color if thats whatcha doing with it.
Cheers :D
