My grandma gave me this long skirt a few years ago and I usually wear it with brown boots in the fall and winter. But it’s long and my 5’1" (I like to say 5’2"), plump frame doesn’t look good in long skirts. So I decided to cut it off. I added lace to the bottom because I thought it would look great with the lace pattern.
This should have been an easy project, but the zipper broke and I had to replace that, too! Read more over at my blog, Beth’s Crafty Things.

I’m 5’2"! I’d feel like a giant next to you 5’1" gals. PS – Great skirt update. Love the lace.

I love what you’ve done with it! I’m 5’1", but often find myself telling people I’m 5’2" as well, I totally know what you mean about those long skirts! :P
