"Mrs. Darcy" cardigan

Added Mar 27, 2008

by mjhawkeye

Myrtleford, Aust...

My first knitted garment (that’s not a scarf, etc)….yay! I like how it turned out – although i made the back slightly too big. The mohair makes it really warm, but it also sheds all over everything!!! The pattern is by indieknits and can be found at

Material Notes

Moda Vera “jessica” yarn – 80% acrylic, 20% mohair.

This is gorgeous! – Does anyone know where I can get this pattern, as it doesn’t seem to be available from the link anymore, and I can’t find it anywhere else…

thank you for your lovely comments everyone :) the ribbing actually does all the waist shaping on it’s own…but it takes a while to do, what with moving the yarn over after every stitch!

Looks really good! I like this jacket very much and would like to make one too, but I’m a totally knitting novice ;)
