I wanted to see how piping worked as I have never made anything with it before. So I used the left over fabric from the maroon dress to make this top and made a small piped area at the neckline. It was a bit of a fiddle especially stitching it onto jersey but it worked out okay. Also can anyone tell me the best way to put in elastic into the sleeve for a puff ball effect??, I tried here but it didn’t work out how i wanted….

I adore this top. I think the sleeves are divine! Not what you wanted, though… well, all I can say is, hopefully someday, I can criticize myself for something so lovely! ;)

I love this, it’s simple but it has the cute details of the piping and sleeves to keep it from being boring.

Cute cute cute! I love it (as always)! Such great taste :) And I think the sleeves are nice, but I’ve never done puffy sleeves before…

Looks great! I’ve never done piping and maybe I should try it, too … The Danielle dress has puffy sleeves, but as far as I can see, you did it the right way (in my opionion) maybe this jersey is a little bit too thin, so the puffs don’t come out properly.

Lol you are funny sewella! My computer monitor bust a few weeks ago so I couldn’t upload the creations I had been making in that time. Just last saturday I was able to take pics of them all in daylight (cos I get back late from work durng the week) and upload them on my hubbys computer! so I didn’t make all these in one night or anything! but I did photograph them on the same day. Thanks for the nice comment !!bxx
