I wanted to have a “vegan” motorcycle jacket that had the right look. The “Larissa” pattern was just the style I wanted.
I modified the pattern by making the jacket longer, particularly in the back.
I used a textured basket weave cotton that has a slight sheen. People assume it's leather until I tell them the fabric is cotton. I used a sewn in cotton/linen interfacing which I doubled and quilted for the lapel area.

This looks really amazing, great fit, the material hangs well, the contrast of the thick silver zips with the black is cool. Works really well. Special.

I don’t suppose that you know the gauge of the zippers and where I could find them?? I have been DESPERATELY searching for something thicker than the #10 zipper, which in itself, is hard to find!!

I got the zippers from Custom Zips through the internet in the “heavy duty” size.

Just a question: did you use a 40 cm zip as you made the Larissa longer or did you buy a longer zip? It is wonderful! Carole from Paris.

Yes, I still used a 40 cm zipper.

Wow! I love it!!! It is so inspiring….and love the vegan-ness of it. It’s great as well if you don’t want the heavy leather look, yours is more spring/summer feeling. I am going to master some more skills and put this on my wish list.

Love the jacket. I was going to ask why is this jacket “vegan” but I think I figured it out. Its not leather.
