This is a dress I made to wear on mother’s day this year. Well, it’s been way too cold for it and it took over a month for me to brave the weather and wear it.
For the bodice I used this burdastyle pattern: Gathered Top 05/2013 #104B, and added a 10cm waistband and a very basic gathered skirt.
I must confess this was an accident that turned out wearable. I originally meant for a high waist and knee high skirt, but as it turns out the fabric is super stretchy and heavy, so by the time I was done sewing all pieces together, I had a drop waist, slightly resembling the 20s, which surprisingly, I really liked. Yeah, I know you are laughing, that’s ok ;)
