I made my daughter a hat using the cloche pattern from Saturday Night Hat: Quick, Easy Hatmaking for the Downtown Girl by Eugenia Kim. It turned out so well that I made one for myself. They sew up quickly and don’t take much fabric. I also tried the floppy sun hat pattern from the book but the pattern was a disaster. Those are the only two patterns I’ve tried.
