Sydney Again., A...
My mum took me into her current favourite designer store; Moss and Spy and I saw a top I really liked but didn’t think would suit me.
She urged me to try it on and it was fantastic except a little short in the height and I was worried the elastic pulling under my ribcage would rip the fragile fabric.
Plus I felt bad she was going to spend $300 on me!
I had a coupel of metres of black georgette in my stash anyway so tried to replicate it myself. I snuch back to the store a second time just to check out the shape and design details.and trotted off to buy some lacce for the egdes.
I did a toile in cotton voile and then made it up and after washing realized how much it shrinks! So REDO! Luckily I hadn’t sewn on the lace in version 1, I was just washing out the stabilizer.
I made it a couple of centimetres longer in the body for the second just to be sure it was sitting on my waist and not too high up.
I love it except I didn’t have anything that it would go with until last week. It only looks good with slim ftting pants or skirt.
