Added Dec 22, 2013
Based on Colette’s Sobetto Top. shortened the bust dart at the side seam. It was gaping badly at the armhole, so I added a shorter bust dart as an additional bust shaper – to the armholes. Inverted the C.F. pleat, made a wide hem. Made a viscose bias binding for neckline and armholes. Added front darts under the bust down to the hemline as the top dropped straight down from the bust! (tentlike). All these adjustments after I cut the fabric from the original pattern, and sewed the side seams and shoulders.
Another top for the tropics, living in Brunei.
Fabric from Sawyerbrook.com. Good value fabrics and I like the way the owners present the fabrics online, including draping, to get an accurate idea how the fabric drapes down.
Mosaic print pattern on lawn. Washed first.
