Little Rock, Ark...

We’ve had two snow days in a row this week so lots of sewing has been happening! The top of this dress is actually a pair of men’s boxer shorts that I thrifted because I liked the print. So I cut off the leg openings and added some vintage blue buttons that I found at an antique store to the front. The rest of the dress is just different sized rectangles gathered on one side. I used elastic around the waist and then sewed on the sash last. I can’t wait to wear it once it gets warmer!

Material Notes

top: men’s boxer shorts…………
skirt and ruffle: brick red cotton with tiny white polka-dots……………
sash: natural linen with little red stripes………………
vintage blue bottons…………….

Garment Type
Bohemian, Casual, Vintage
Cotton, Linen

You look smashing! If I were a boy, I’d ask for your number ;P… the upcycled fashion idea. I’ve been looking around my own wardrobe to do the same thing….and I will keep your idea in mind.
