I made this three strand beaded necklace with the gemstone pendant in two days. The gemstone was part of an old earring I had picked up a craft fair years ago that had no mate. After many people admired it on a simple chain I finally decided to make something out of it. I wired and hot glued it together with some gold pieces I bought online to make a pendant. The beads for the strands also came from the same website. They almost didn’t make it to my house when the website sent out the package without a street name in the address! Thankfully my town is a small one, and the postmen were wonderful enough to call me to let me know my package was at the post office and needed an address. Besides the fabulous pendant, my favorite part about this necklace and earring set is the square magnetic clasp(which I unfortunately have no pictures of… sorry!). The pictures I do have simple do not do this set justice. The peach fabric underneath is destined to become an Indian kameez, thanks to Ruk, who posted that wonderful How-To on making a simple kameez pattern.
Gold and Copper seed beads, various pearl-esque and colored glass beads, gold accents, crimping beads, "tiger's tail" wire, hot glue, and some very sore fingers...
The post office for calling me to find out where I lived!
