This is the latest costume I’ve made – Morgana, from the show Merlin. This was meant to be worn at Supanova this weekend, but due to a major public transport failure we never got there. So instead, we just swanned around the park. This costume is lovely to wear!
I already had the purple dress, as it was my Donna Noble/Lady Fair costume. The only change I made was to add appliques to the bodice.
I used the same pattern (McCalls 6141), with some modifications, to make the chiffon overdress. I used gold lace to trim the sleeves, and found a jeweled buckle to cover the velcro that holds it together. The last picture I’ve put up is one of the real costume from the show, for those who don’t know it.

nice work! I have never seen the show but I like the costume. I love laces and fancy trims but I don’t get a chance to use them very often. Great job :)

Thanks! I don’t get to use lace often either, but it’s so pretty!
