i swear. i just don’t know how to use my camera in a low light setting yet.
i got the courage to try this vintage mccalls pattern (7827) for an oona does it! challenge that 3 other lovely ladies participated in— i knew they would all make something fabulous so i had to raise my own bar. everyone went for a teal & red palette. though i was stoked about this combo, in the end i couldn’t bring myself to add red to this dress (all i could think of was supergirl), but you can see a bit of burgundy in my FABULOUS FIVE DOLLAR SHOES.
i’m sorry. i’m okay.

The dress is gorgeous, but you are a total knock out in it! Love the shoes, plenty enough color contrast!

once again FABULOUS !!! Looks so simple yet very elegant and then of course there is the Back. And I envy you for your zipper Job. I have yet to manage that as emaculate as yours. The colour is fantastic on you (and good choice not adding any red) and I LOVE the shoes !!

you’ve got to try colette’s invisble zipper facing tutorial:
http://www.coletterie.com/tutorials-tips-tricks/tutorial-invisible-zipper-with-facing
also, i pin my zips in, then baste with a regular foot about 1/4 away from the teeth, then get close to the teeth with a regular zip foot. i don’t even press the zip open. this gets it so close i almost can’t close it sometimes!

Somehow the zipper caught my attention :) Love the finishing touch on that department :) Is the fabric lace or it just looks like that?
