Before you get any fabric have an idea in your head of what it will look like. I have made these with fake green fur, so dont rule out your options. Have an idea about what the features on the face will be. Also I found my biggest problem was finding a zipper that was the right colour and style, I chose chunky for these. Also decide what you will be using for a lining, i used calico because i couldnt be bothered finding anything else for it.
