I made this jacket and skirt for my mother’s recent wedding. It went over so well. The chapel was well lit so the garment glistened in the midday sun. Serious late-19th century meets old Hollywood glamour. This project was modified from BurdaStyle Patterns 7001 and 7092.
I used a lightweight Taffeta. I bagged out the jacket and flat-lined parts of the underskirt with a cream lining. The color- I ended up calling a candlelight champagne [just sounds romantic].
