This is no. 2 of two pairs of trousers I made from Burda #127 for a Trouser Sewalong I’ve been hosting via my blog. For more on pair no. 1, look here.
This particular pair was made up in a wool garbardine are also lined in bemberg rayon lining. These have such fantastic drape and truly, I love the wool gabardine and will begin to use it more often in pant making. They have the traditional slant pockets and an invisible side zipper. They have a single pleat in the front, darts in the back and the waistband has been treated with a double bias band to offset the matching of the pinstripes. These too are cuffed.
Visit my blog for more on the Trouser Sewalong which features postings on things to be aware of and look for when fitting a pair of pants, the various problems many of us ran into using this particular pattern (which is a pattern for Talls) and how to stitch up a beautiful pair of lasting trousers. Here is a link to all of the sewalong posts.
Happy trouser sewing!

Hi sunni!
These turned out great, as wall as the linen pair!
I found your sewalong two weaks ago, when I was searching for how-tos about pant fitting. You did an amazing job, to write so clear all those instructions, thank you, it will be very helpful, when I start to fit my pants.
