Description

In place of a typical black-tie formal gown, the Molten Silver adds true flare to the evening. A majority of the dress is made from upcycled material: the mullet-style skirts were from two previous gowns and the faux leather from a belt. When I draped this last semester, people asked, ‘What are you making with leather and chiffon? Is it for a class?’ A: Something worth wearing, definitely not for class! The pleats on the left side of the bodice and the tucks in the skirt are hand stitched—which was very relaxing.

Leather and chiffon – who would have paired them! Wildly interesting and unusual!
