Description

Circle Skirt – Based on Chic & Simple pattern – it is marked easy on the pattern but I did have a problem with the hem – I solved that by using the double fold bias tape and found that I really liked the look it gave the skirt. My middle daughter liked my skirt and asked to make one for her – she chose the fabric and again I used the bias tape on the hem. This skirt is a hit with the teenagers and we wore them at Easter.

Material Notes

stretch cotton jersey
double fold bias tape (hot pink & black)

What did you think of her book? I was a bit disappointed personally but that skirt definitely looks good… will have to try that one.

As a newbie to sewing I enjoyed reading her book but most of the patterns I would have to alter as the dresses really had no shape for anyone with curves.

They are so pretty. Very modern, indeed :-)
