I made this Weekender Bag for my boyfriend (and myself, I suppose). We are going to NYC for new years and will need a lovely new bag to bring all our clothes in. This bag is made from navy blue cotton canvas, with brown upholstery vinyl and nylon upholstery thread. I made it using the pattern from the Weekend Designer blog. As it turns out, the bag in the photo on the blog isn’t the same as the pattern, so thats why it didnt turn out quite the way I wanted it to. The straps are a little short and the brown vinyl only covers the bottom and isn’t visible from the top of the bag.

thanks. its actually a really easy pattern. you should try it out. the hardest part was finding the proper hardware. i couldn’t find some of it in the right sizes, so I had to change the nylon webbing strap from 2" to 1 1/2"
