This is my version of the Azalea – I made it months ago, but still haven’t gotten around to wearing it…
It’s some kind of sheer polyester, and is lined with blue georgette – which peeks out the bottom. The black is just cotton. It was pretty cheap to make – both fabrics were $2m!
The fabrics were kind of hard to sew as a starter dress, and the hem was really hard to do evenly as well.
Blocks fabric - polyester $2m, Blue - georgetter $2m, and black cotton $4m all from Brunswick Fabrics.
Burdastyle, and my grandma for helping me with the slippery georgette (it kept slipping, and getting caught).

Very nice dress! I like the contrast between the black top part and the colourful blue rest.

I like it! Thank heavens for moms and grandmas to help us out of the tough fabric spots.
