For my graduation fashion show a few weeks ago, I designed 3 nightgowns, all black and white. This was the last one out, and my personal favorite.
It has a fitted body, with 3 little stripes on the upper and lower parts. Then, I added a zillion ruffles (176 to be exact) of alternating colors.
It looks great in pics, but in person, it just kind of floated and had amazing movement.
For accessories, I made a tiny sequined purse, czech crystal bracelets and a silver necklace.
For the dress: black and white satin crepe, black and white silk chiffon, interfacing, invisible zipper.
For the accesories, black acetate lining, black sequins, metallic handle, black czech crystals, silver.
