I encountered a pattern sale at the fabric store so I grabbed some Simplicity/Lisette patterns for $1 each. I used the Lisette Itinerary Dress pattern, Simplicity 2060, in a zig-zag cotton print. The color combination is different than anything I have in my wardrobe, and I liked the zig zags that are a subtle nod to the Missoni style without looking like every Target dress out there.
I didn’t use a contrasting fabric for the yoke as the pattern suggests — just a different direction of zigs —and I didn’t make the dress belt, but I like the way mine turned out. It’s a bit short for me, though!
