Added Dec 23, 2010
I made up this dress for a friend from Burda 11-2010-119 for some wedding receptions she was going to attend this December. She is petite, so I thought the empire waist with the bow would add some pizzazz to her small frame. My DD1 is modeling in the pictures. I made changes to the pattern: I put a centre back zipper in as it was almost impossible to get this dress off with the side zip Burda recommended; I fully lined the dress, as it’s made of wool challis – you can see the fabric detail here. I also and I changed how the tie was attached to the dress.
Pattern: BurdaStyle magazine 11-2010-119.
