Miss Girl needed a new coat in a bad way! So I whipped a little something up for the girl – something bright and cheery for grey wintery days, something warm (I lined it with fleece), something with a skirt – she is a girl, after all!
Funny thing, though, I had a hard time getting her to try it on for size so I used Wally as the model. I think it might look better on Wally – hee, hee, hee. He has a more full figure that fills it out a little better. Violet has a weird shape – very skinny but big in the chest and a long skinny neck. Anyways, mission accomplished – Girl has a new coat. Now I need to make some for the boys.
I used a pattern I got from Joanne’s and doctored it a bit.
cotton “outdoors” fabric
solid fabric for the lining
fleece
matching thread
