Combining the JJ sloper and Marie skirt I made this dress, copying the idea of another member! The belt I made and made up myself, with a button covered in the same material as the belt. I love covered buttons. (and bows). I removed the back pleats of the skirt because I thought it wouldn’t look any good with the zipper, plus I already have a large behind and didn’t want to do the cul de paris style in polka dots ;-)
I know the second pic is no good but it accentuates the waistline better.

And Carotte Sauvage for the lovely inspiration for the name!

Lovely! Just had the idea of adding the JJ sloper to Marie and someone has beaten me to it!
Really good fit, will definitively inspire me to have a go.

Hey waow! I was imagining the other day what name you would give to your Marie skirt since you seem to be a filmbuff-I like your creations title/film references by the way-(I was thinking of ‘Hail Marie’ by Godard…for what I wouldn’t presuppose to be such an extreme alteration -or rather an addition-of the pattern Marie)
It is so great, your dress deserves to be named ‘Golightly’!
