Burda Style For people who sew
Description
Because I’m in a dressing-up mood and I’m currently making another costume, thought I’d share this from Halloween 2010.
Miss Argentina from Beetlejuice has become a really popular costume but it rocks so much that I recommend to anyone who likes body paint ;)
The dress was made from a Burda Magazine (a 3/2010 pattern not on here) in a purple satin – I’d love to make it again out of thicker fabric because it sat really well. Other bits include:
The sash: Made with wide ribbon, the letters where printed on iron-on transfer paper.
The cape: I glued red sinamay to the wire frame, then covered it with red soft tulle. It was the most difficult part, and if I was to make it again I would use a sequined red fabric to save on the glitter I added at the end.
I wore a red wig and pinned it with into a pin up hair style. I also found green stockings because half a body of aqua paint is easier to removed than a full body.

This is by far THE best Miss Argentina costume I have seen online. Bravo! Please tell me: What kind of body paint did you use, and how much? Also, did you have to blend blue and green together?
