  I have this magazine and was ogling this pattern and wondering if it would be too high waisted. I can adjust it, but didn’t want to have to. I think I’m going to eventually make the pants and the wrap top too. Thanks for the revue, and they look great!

  BurdaStyle has a very similar pattern: Corinne http://www.burdastyle.com/patterns/show/3806 just make the waist band twice as wide and fold it over.

  manati: the coverstitch or the twin needle seam is for the hems, when you fold over the fabric towards the inside and on the front you have two parallel stitches while on the back there is a zig-zag so the seam is elastic and it doesn’t break when you stretch the fabric. It can be done on any zig zag machine by stitching straight with a special needle (twin needle).

  The coverstitch is available on special machines like the serger or overlock or there are machines for coverstitch only. If you look at the hems on any store bought TShirt that’s what it is.

  squirrellypoo: to make the waist band was easy and with thin fabrics I like it fold over, halving it would work just as well, reducing the bulk. Maybe I’ll do that for the next pair :) Thanks for the tip!

  I love your actions shots! I hated the folded waistband when I made these, though – I think they’re much more comfortable if you halve the waistband and not fold it… :)

  I love the color you picked. Good fit. Great photos. -———————————— I’m on the mission to upload a culottes pattern just like this too! I got 7 seams though. 2 sides, 2 inseams, 1 crotch, 1 to make the waist band circle, and one for attaching waistband to culottes.
