Sew parallel lines with a long length straight stitch across the fabric where the pleats should have been; you can also sew more lines below like rays (in upside-down triangles) Gather the fabric by pulling on the threads ends, until the length of the skirt front equals the length measured at step one. Arrange the small pleats that form, uniformly.
