This is my first Azalea and I think its a great pattern but not for me. I always have issues with the fit on the bust and I dont think this is a dress for bustier girls. I had a friend model this dress for me n she is smaller at the top but curvy and I think it looks awesome on her. I dont even remember where I got this fabric but it is so pretty I cant stand it. I had actually cut this dress years ago and since It didnt flatter me I had never finished it. Well, time came to finish all the unfinished projects so I found the right figure for this dress. I think it looks so beautiful on Miranda.
Cotton fabric.

you used such a nice fabric. I like the dress better with the belt!

Thanks I agree with you about the belt. Im going to try this Azalea pattern again but Im reducing the bulk and probably add a sash.

I love this dress!!!! I wouldn’t even give that fabric a second look at the store, probably, but when I see it on your friend, surrounded by all that green (oh, I can’t wait for us to get green grass and leaves here!) – it’s perfect!!!! But also… You made me wonder. Azalea is on my “to-do” list, but I am definitely one of those “bustier” women. So I am not sure now, but maybe with different fabrics it would work or maybe I could “tweak” it somehow.

Azalea is a nice pattern but its very full. I’ve heard other burdastyle members suggest making the top layer smaller. I may try it again by not making it so full. Definitely try it. Cant wait to see what u think.

You are on a major mission with the last two dresses (Madras Plaid) and this one. Extremely appealing & flirty with the underskirt-.would catch a guy’s attention! Top detailing great, too-emphasis complimentary.
