A self drafted jacket from some of the same pattern pieces as this jacket. It may have taken a year from pattern production to garment production, but it was worth the wait!
The fabric is a fine wale corduroy that was given to me by a good friend for a Christmas present a few years ago. I love the darted sleeve head on this jacket, and will most likely be doing another at some point, I’ll need some more fabric first! There are a few adjustments from the original pattern that I first blogged about. The collar and rever were changed, as was the length of the jacket and the sleeves. Originally I had wanted a 3/4 length sleeve, but changed it to full length, with a vent.
The corduroy has been completely interfaced with a fine sheer fusible to add body. Normal speed tailoring techniques were used. More pics and info can be found on my blog .
