Mint Petals

Added Nov 9, 2009

by ashchaser

Nashville, Tenne...

Step 7 Now you can sew

You made it! Now once you have decided exactly how to arrange them, iron the petals to make a good crease, set them on top of each other and just handsew right through the middle. If you are making a large version you might want to add a few more stitches all around to keep the petals down, or let them fly free like I did on the headband. For the middle just throw in some lace, a jewel, or even a bird if you like.
Hooray now you have a flower!

I love it! I have made a variety of these in various colors— some have ended up on barrettes and headbands for my sister, but I have also used them as a front decoration on a dress and on a bag- I will upload some of these photos soon. Thanks for such a great tutorial!

Noooo problem, these are too easy, cute, and unique for the season to keep to myself!
