As soon as I saw the latest pattern for Sewaholic I knew I wanted to make it and I knew I wanted to make it stat.
It’s the ‘Minoru Jacket’ and I love it! It has a hood, it has a secret compartment in the collar for the hood. It has inside pockets, elastic waist for a feminine shape, and a separating zipper! (my new favourite thing).
I used a blue poplin from Tessuti fabrics and the awesome ‘bone bling’ cotton for the lining which I also purchased from Tessuti fabrics I love how the blue contrasts with the skull and cross bones of the lining.
When ever I wear this jacket out I get such great compliments. My friends just assume now that I make everything that I wear, but they were genuinely surprised that I had made this little number. The pattern is a dream to whip up and well instructed, which means that it’s not too hard to make the finished result of this jacket look good.
Going to be spending some quality time with this jacket for sure.
