This is the Minna blouse by Salme Patterns. The first time I tried this, it came out children’s sized because my printer was acting silly (and I didn’t catch the problem in time). Second time around was much better, although I’m not sure the style suits me. Well, I’m not sure the skinny jeans suit me either, come to think of it…
I would like to try it again minus the elastic peplum, as I’m not sure it’s a great look for me. I’d probably pinch out some of the neckline as well, as I found it didn’t sit as flat as I’d like.
Overall, this is a straightforward pattern for a regular sewist, but as with the pleat front dress, the instructions leave something to be desired. If you are a beginner beginner, maybe try a few other patterns first.
One thing is for certain, in the last week I have become a dab hand at installing elastic waists. So far I’ve done 3 dresses and a shirt with elastic waists!
Cotton voile, 23 " of 1/4" wide elastic.
Twists on feminine classics, like a bold patterned shift dress and pants with a racing stripe.
