The is the first garment completed in my personal fall wardrobe challenge . I found this denim in my fabric stash (yay getting rid of some stuff!) and figured it would make a useful denim mini-skirt. The skirt has a back yoke, pockets and a fly front. I had thought about adding belt loops, but the reality is that I own no belts so I thought they might just be silly. It could be cute with a skinny belt though, so I may still add them if I can find a good belt. This is also my first experience with pockets that sew into the fly (see the inside out skirt photo) and while sewing I couldn’t decide if this was going to be weird or not, but it turned out awesome! You never have bunched up pockets this way, great for wearing with tights. The pattern is my own, you can read more about the skirt on my blog .
