I decided to try making the mini dress style 115 from Burda issue 5 2011. I made it using two different Liberty cotton fabrics in blue and white. This was my first attempt using shirring elastic and I’m very pleased with the results. I did make a few adjustments to the Burda pattern; I’ve added a white cotton under skirt in addition to the tulle underskirt in the design (my daughter tried to where the dress without, but when the wind caught the skirt the ruffles came up and you could see straght through the tulle!). I’ve also added shoulder straps to keep the dress up. My daughter is very pleased with the result.
Liberty cotton bought from Fred Winters in Stratford upon Avon.

I like the dress! I was going to make one but I can’t seem to find the instruction tab so I can draft the pattern. Maybe I am just over looking, can you tell me where you found it? Thanks.
