I just discovered the cartoon “Transformers Prime”, and I really like it! So I decided to redo a Barbie as Miko Nakadai (one of the humans) from the show! I used the “Raquelle” fashionista Barbie. I cut and restyled her hair, partially repainted her, made her some earrings out of flat-head sewing pins and beads, painted her finger nails, and made her entire outfit!
Her outfit includes: A purple cotton shirt (which really should’ve been knit), a blue stretch-knit tank top with contrasting green flannel “piping”, green ribbon straps and a green felt robot shape sewn to it, denim cuffed shorts (which I made out of my Mom’s old jeans), purple stretch leggings (I used the knit side, the other side is a micro-suede-ish-furry texture), a yellow pleather belt, and a pair of shoes I made with clay and foam. For the shoes, I covered the doll’s feet in tin foil, and formed the bases of the shoes around that, then I baked them, painted them black, hot-glued strips of black fun foam to the tops and painted the purple “laces” on the fronts.
I didn’t use any patterns.
I think it looks just like her! My sewing skills are still not precise, but whatevah!
I included some “before” pictures of the doll. I forgot to take my own before pics, so I found these of the same doll on the internet.
I figured posing her in front of a giant tire was appropriate. Ya’ know, transformers and all. XD

Thanks again! :) Yes, I’ve made quite a few costumes for myself and Barbie dolls, but I haven’t really made anything I can really wear in public. I should soon though.
