Made this from a cheap but pretty white spotted tulle material I got at IKEA.
I used a pattern from burdafashion.com for the skirt, except I shortened it about 10cm. Then I draped the material on myself to make the top because I couldn’t find a pattern I liked. Finally I took a bit of material and turned into a belt that I tied around my waist into a bow at the back.
I found out it’s very difficult draping material on yourself. As it’s my first ‘improvised’ bodice I’m really pleased with it.
I named it after the Swedish Midsummer holiday as it makes me think of Maypoles, cider and Swedes.
Lining: old bed sheet in a soft cotton.
Outer material is soft white tulle.
