Design in fall of 2009, this is one of my favorites for its simple beauty from the fabric and showing off any girl’s legs! French seams, double-rolled hems, lined, and hand-stitched waistband makes this skirt well made. Since my first designs I’ve had 3 pattern making classes (through my design major) and have learned a lot of the make and fit of garments. The skirt pattern is a basic pencil design (darts in front and back) that I drafted and use in many variations over and over! A basic skirt pattern that fits you is one of the best resources to have on hand.
Acetate taffeta fabric, nylon lining. 7" zipper. Black polyester thread. Basic skirt sloper.
Hit the city streets in adventurous looks with utilitarian details like cargo pockets and belts.
Twists on feminine classics, like a bold patterned shift dress and pants with a racing stripe.
