Description

I made this as an inbetween-project, to take a step back from the coat that I’m trying to make. This fabric leaves everything covered with little glittery particles and after washing it it’s practically impossible to get the creases out . Apart from that it’s quite robust and I like the shape that lives well with the creases and looks good even with not too much of a waist. The pleats are quite cleverly pleated ‘on-top’ of each other.

Pattern from Patrones 268.

Material Notes

Sand-coloured denim with golden surface, snap buttons and 1 button & button-hole at the waist (I wanted to avoid suddenly losing the skirt… if you’ve ever had a wrap skirt closed only with snap-buttons you might know what I mean.)

I really like this skirt – love the pleats. I think you should call it your Tinkerbelle skirt since you leave gold dust everywhere! :)

I love the shape and the pleats! That stinks about the gold dust, though
