I made this dress to wear out to dinner on our 35th anniversary! For this summer knit dress I used McCall’s Fashion Star 6760, although I did alter the pattern a bit. On this version (my second of this pattern) I sewed in the gathers on the shoulder seams instead of using the drawstrings. I also decreased the fabric in the (almost) circle skirt so I could fit the pattern pieces on the fabric I had – in all about 3 yards. I did not have to use a zipper either, as it slips on and off easily. It’s very comfortable, and I have had several compliments while wearing it. I may just try the jumpsuit version!
