My daughter had a fundraising walk with her reception class, each class had to dress to represent a country. I decided to make a full circle skirt with ribbons in the flag colours similar to dresses I had seen on the internet while researching. A lot of the rest of the class wore either bought Spanish flamenco dresses! Or a towel with a hole cut in the middle for a poncho with a tash, even the girls! It was a lot of fun, the dress is still on our dressing up rack years later, my younger daughter still loves it!
I used an old bed sheet for the skirt and a red top with a print, later to be covered with more ribbon. I used a massive amount of ribbon, three plain colours and a woven patterned one.
