I wanted to make my boyfriend something for Christmas and I loved this mercury colored grey shirting. It’s very comfortable/casual, but smart enough to wear to work. I think he likes it OK, but doesn’t really dig the collar which, I think, is partly due to some tailoring faux pas as well as the sheer girth of it. I think if I use this pattern again, I might cut the interfacing out of the collar and make it a bit smaller… he’s not really into wearing ties, and it seems to me that this collar is made for ties.

Great styling!
The color is so perfect for your model. They both look great. I love the backdrop, too, what is it?
I know it’s hard to tell, but the fabric looks like it’s almost trouser-weight. In that case, you might have been able to do without the interfacing. For shirting fabrics, though, I agree with ttenden, interfacing is best..

Hey, this shirt looks great, i love the color, and it is very well made! A smaller collar will be perfect, but i would leave the interfacing in. Maybe just go to a lighter weight. I have gone without, and it just resulted in a sloppy look.
