Burda Style For people who sew
Description
I made this for my boyfriend for his birthday. He chose the fabrics, a polished brown cotton for the outside and a green and brown plaid for the underlining. I did all the suggested topstitching and bound all the seams in brown binding. It took me about two weeks, but the time is worth it because he loves it.

Where did you get the fabric for this? I have a trench pattern that I’m dying to try but I’m having a hard time finding a fabric I like.

It’s a cotton sateen that I underlined. It was really difficult to find a fabric at Jo-Ann’s w/ the terrible selection.

i had this pattern a few times in my hand. now you made sure, i am going to buy it and do a trench coat as well. this is so well made and a great fit. BRAVO and congrats to your coat AND your boyfriend :-)

Very nice! It is rare to be able to make something so nice for a guy. Not too much out there to work with for patterns unfortunately. Will have to keep this one in mind though…
