I made this shirt from Butterick 4712, a vintage Seventies mens shirt pattern and one of my favorites. I made version “B” for the first time: a mens knit shirt.
I left the buttons off the placket as I really didn’t think they were needed on a summery, open shirt like this.
I also left off the breast pocket.
Can’t wait till it’s warm enough to wear this!

I used a nice quality stretchy blue cotton terrycloth I found in the remainder bin in a store on 35th St. in the Garment District.

i really like it! the color as well as the material itself are wonderful! it is such a shame, that we do not get that much old patterns here in germany……. (or at least, i can’t find them :-(
