Burda Style For people who sew
Description
I made these jeans from Kwik Sew 2123, an out-of-print pattern from the Nineties I bought online. They were fun to make and I love the fit. Lots of topstitching, which I do primarily on my Singer 15-91 straight stitch machine, using the inside right edge of my straight stitch foot to do the outer row of stitching, and using the wider left edge of my presser foot as a guide the second row of stitching. Still need to hem; I’ll wash them a few times first in case they shrink.

Material Notes
I used dark blue, stiff, cotton denim with no Spandex (which I don’t like in pants).

Very nice work. Nice to have the opportunity to wash them a few times before hemming. One of the benefits of sewing it yourself!

Those jeans are so HOT! Your workmanship is impeccable! I agree, some rivets would be a nice added touch. I bet you could get them installed at Daytona Trim or the other snap shop on 39th st.

ah your usual perfection – these are great!! I’d say better than store bought….As one plauged by a mediocure top stitch, I’m curious…..just how do you get that top stitching soooo perfect??
