I happened across a blog of a very creative French seamstress who repurposes/refashions men’s shirts into cute tops, tunics, and dresses, Ma chemise d’homme
I really liked the concept and had a go at making my own – this is my first attempt.
It took a few hours of playing around with seams, darts and different shirts to get this result. It helps if you have some basic understanding of garment construction to figure out how to adapt a shirt cut for men to a feminine shape. Very enjoyable! Hmmm, I wonder if the DH really needs that white dress shirt…
2 men's shirts, scissors, seam ripper.
