Men's Polar Fleece Vest

Added May 4, 2013

Chemainus, Canada

I made this polar fleece vest for my husband. It’s still cool out some days, and this was perfect for him to stay warm when he goes golfing. However, I did more basting on this project than I have basted in the last ten years!!!!! The fleece is from my stash and the binding is from my scraps.

Thank you. The binding was quite the challenge. It is a McCall’s 2479 from 1999. I did take in the shoulders a bit.

Great project, it must have been difficult to make!

Thank you! I don’t like working with polar fleece, but I like the finished projects. :-)

A great vest, Like the binding on the edges, did you line it as well?

Thanks. No it’s not lined. The polar fleece snuggles nicely to keep the chill out. The binding was a test of patience, as I made it from Lycra scraps.:-)
